Grants
Front Range Community College Service-Learning Grant
Money was awarded for me to develop a service-learning component for my Art Education classes. I collaborated with the Poudre Library District to create a series of art classes for children. My Art Education students observed then planned art experiences for Preschoolers, K-3, 4-6, or teens as part of the Art 107 curriculum. The program grew and the grant was renewed each year from 2013 – 2018.
Front Range Community College Professional Development Grant 2017
I was awarded funding to travel to New York City for the National Art Education Association conference. I attended a one day pre-conference workshop on museum education at the Studio Museum in Harlem, and two special workshops focusing on puppetry.
Front Range Community College Professional Development Grant 2013
I was awarded funding to travel to Massachusetts to attend The Arts and Passion-driven Learning course offered through Harvard University’s Project Zero and Yo Yo Ma’s Silk Road Project.
